Making Your Wagers on Roulette's Inside Bets

The wagers you can make in roulette can be classified into two - the outside bets and the inside bets. The inside bets essentially will pay more than the outside bets will, but the odds of the inside bets at winning isn't necessarily better than the roulette outside bets.

The inside bets can be classified as five numbers, six numbers, corner, street, and split bets. It is really necessary to know how to correctly place these bets. At times, making the inside bets can be confusing and players can make mistakes and make wagers on another slot other than the one they intended to.

Here are the inside bets in roulette:

Straight Up: This is the easiest inside bet to understand among the inside bets of this casino game. When players make this wager they are simply betting that a number on the table layout will be the slot where the ball lands in the roulette wheel. All a player has to do to make this bet is to place chips on the designated spot on the layout for the number they want to bet on. The odds that this number will win is a terribly low 37 to one. Split: This wager is like a straight up bet for two numbers. If either of two chosen numbers come up on the wheel then this bet wins. Just place your chips on the line between a couple of number then you're done. This bet has a payoff of seventeen to one.

Street: This roulette bet is like making a split but you are instead wagering on three numbers. Place your chips outside of a row of three numbers of your choice then you're done. The street bet will pay you off at eleven to one.

Corner: This bet is like the street bet but you will be wagering on four numbers instead of just two. The way to make this bet is almost the same, but instead of putting your chips on a line place them in a corner where four numbers meet. It pays you off at eight to one.

Five Numbers: This is making a wager that the ball will land on 0, 00, one, two, and three. The house edge for this game is seven percent (worst one in this game) and pays you off at six to one..

Six Numbers: This is like making two street bets. Place your chips on the side like a street bet but put them on the line in between two rows. This bet pays you off at six to one.

Making the inside bets can sometimes be confusing. Make sure you understand how to place your chips for each inside bet in roulette or else you end up making the wrong wagers.
